Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Field/Base Network Engineer to lead Operations-focused BAN/LAN/WAN network activities for the NMCI/NGEN-R environments. The role covers COMSEC support, incident response, and documentation across a large enterprise network.

Qualified candidates will have a DoD Secret clearance with TS upgrade, relevant certifications, and 4+ years of troubleshooting complex routing and switching. Willingness to travel 25% and OC ONUS is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP-ISSAP, etc.).
• Network vendor certification (CCNA/CCNP) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an Operations-focused Network Engineer for BAN/LAN/WAN network operations and related tasks.
• Provide COMSEC Local Element support including asset management and key inventories.
• Document work activities and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Coordinate software upgrades and changes to the NGEN-R system and communications infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of faulty hardware per SOPs and vendor guidance.
• Interface with NOC to support incident troubleshooting and restoration.
• Support configuration/asset management and maintain accurate network docs reflecting as-is and to-be environments.
