Job summary

Leidos currently has an opening on the Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) Contract for a Lead Network Engineer located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. You will lead engineering efforts across BAN/LAN, Wireless, and WAN/Boundary architectures and serve as a cybersecurity SME.

The role requires an active DoD 8570 IAT Level III cert and vendor networking certifications. You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network and security solutions, provide Tier-III support, and

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in a related field; 12+ years of network engineering experience preferred.
Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III certification required (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CASP+).
Vendor certifications from Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/F5 required at Associate level or higher.
Hands-on experience with enterprise networks spanning multiple vendors.
Deep knowledge of IP addressing, routing, switching, VPNs, and modern topologies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across BAN/LAN, Wireless, and WAN architectures.
Manage 24x7 on-call rotation and incident response for critical network issues.
Design, implement, and maintain robust network and security solutions (DMZ, VPN, firewalls).
Lead deployment plans, peer reviews, and governance with ERBs and EIPs.
Collaborate with SRE, automation teams, and project stakeholders to meet mission goals.
