Job summary

Carolina Handling is seeking a Field Technician to service material-handling equipment and automated systems at customer sites. You will diagnose, repair, and install equipment, working directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and system reliability.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely response, with opportunities for growth, hands-on training, and a take-home service van. Relocation not required, local travel expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of related maintenance/repair/installation experience preferred.
• Read schematics and manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and electronics concepts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electro‑mechanical problems and perform installations/repairs.
• Interact with customers to understand concerns and propose actions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver superior service.
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Manage parts inventory in the service van and ensure tools are stocked.
• Follow safety guidelines at customer sites and document work.
• Perform additional duties to support operations.
