Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to serve as the primary scientific and technical representative in the Seattle area, supporting Roche systems in core lab laboratories. The role emphasizes on-site installation, operator training, and troubleshooting across the product life cycle.

Travel is extensive (70%+), with a remote, field-based work environment. A company car is provided; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site customer support for Roche systems in customer laboratories.
• Install complex diagnostic instruments, software, and reagent applications.
• Train laboratory personnel on Roche systems, theory of operation, and data interpretation.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot instrument downtime; drive corrective actions.
