Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Applications Specialist for the Core Lab in the Seattle, WA area. The role focuses on on-site customer support, installation, training, and troubleshooting of Roche diagnostic instruments and assays throughout the product life cycle.

The position requires a biology/clinical lab background, 3 years in a clinical lab or IT setting, and travel to customer sites with a focus on Seattle and surrounding states.

Qualifications

• 3 years of clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment (incl. internships, college, certification time).
• Experience with clinical chemistry and immunoassay is preferred.
• Ability to learn Roche solutions and stay current with industry trends.
• Diagnose and solve technical problems efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site customer support for Roche systems in the Core Lab space across WA, ID & Alaska.
• Install, validate, and troubleshoot complex diagnostic instruments, software, and reagent applications.
• Deliver on-site training to laboratory personnel on Roche systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize instrument downtime.
• Collaborate with sales and other Roche teams on pre-sales demos and post-sales support.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities in Roche’s CRM system.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Clinical Laboratory or related field
