Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to deliver hands-on technical expertise and drive cabinet efficiency sales in Michigan and Indiana. You will collaborate with regional sales teams, provide product demonstrations, and support customers from initial inquiry to project completion.

This role requires independence from a home office, travel across the territory, and strong communication to develop tools and campaigns that grow market share.

Qualifications

• Technical discipline preferred or equivalent industry experience.
• 2+ years of sales/marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from a home office with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Increase annual sales revenue for the cabinet efficiency portfolio across customer accounts.
• Collaborate with local Phoenix Contact sales team on joint activities to advance product sales.
• Serve as the local technical representative for the listed products and support sales on power-related matters.
• Develop sales tools, collateral, and campaigns; drive market expansion.
• Act as the voice of the customer for product line expansion and new focus industries.
• Meet or exceed territory sales quotas as set by management.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and utilize CRM for reporting and tracking.
• Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations of Cabinet Efficiency products and technology.
