Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across our automation, control, and networking portfolio. You will collaborate with regional sales and engineering teams to advance opportunities, develop targeted campaigns, and expand market penetration.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, tool development, and customer-focused innovation. The FAE will drive value-added applications, maintain CRM accuracy, and deliver product demonstrations

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from home office with limited supervision.
• Must be able to travel via airplane and automobile up to six hours at a time, and overnight travel 40%+.

Responsibilities

• Act as the local technical representative for Phoenix Contact products and support the sales team in power-related technical matters.
• Act as the regional marketing specialist developing sales tools, collateral and driving campaigns.
• Serve as the voice of the customer providing insight for expansion of product lines or new focus industries.
• Drive value-added applications and engineered solutions.
• Meet/exceed territory sales quotas as established by sales leadership.
• Be proficient in BASE selling skills and build strong customer relationships.
• Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate client information and use CRM for reporting and tracking.
• Utilize sales tools to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Engage in ongoing skill development as determined by leadership.
• Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations of Phoenix Contact products and technology.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of all Phoenix Contact automation products/solutions.
