Job summary

Phoenix Contact seeks a Field Application Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for automation, control and networking products across industrial applications. You will partner with regional sales teams and channel partners to drive consultative sales, develop solutions, and expand market penetration while growing annual revenue.

You will deliver product demonstrations, maintain broad product knowledge, manage CRM data, and travel as needed to support opportunities and joint sales

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from home office with limited supervision.
• Must be able to travel via airplane.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by automobile for up to six hours at a time.
• Must be able to travel overnight 40%+ or as dictated by assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Act as local technical representative for Phoenix Contact products and support the sales team in power-related technical matters.
• Act as regional marketing specialist developing sales tools, collateral and driving campaigns.
• Serve as the voice of the customer providing insight for expansion of product lines or new focus industries.
• Drive value-added applications and engineered solutions.
• Meet/exceed territory sales quotas as established by RSM or VP - Field Sales.
• Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate client information and utilize CRM for reporting and tracking.
