Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for automation, control and networking products in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will collaborate with regional sales teams to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction across ethernet, safety, controllers, IO, HMIs, IPCs and engineered solutions.

The role requires a four-year degree, 3+ years in automation sales/marketing, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel and work from a home

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree. Technical discipline preferred and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from home office with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Increase annual sales revenue across automation, control, and networking products at customer accounts.
• Collaborate with local Phoenix Contact sales team on joint sales activities and campaigns.
• Serve as local technical representative for specified products and support power-related topics.
• Develop sales tools, collateral, and campaigns as regional marketing specialist.
• Act as voice of the customer to inform product line expansion and new focus industries.
• Meet or exceed territory sales quotas as directed by RSM or VP of Field Sales.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and utilize BASE selling techniques.
