Job summary

Forged Fiber 37 Services, LLC is hiring a Fiber Tech II - Splicing Technicians to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables for construction, maintenance and restoration across our fiber networks.

The role requires reading prints/diagrams, using OTDR and power meters, and coordinating with crews to meet project timelines. Expect outdoor work, safety compliance and detailed field reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to maintain driving record; ability to drive company vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice (single-fiber, multi-fiber, and ribbon), and test fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot and isolate fiber faults using OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifiers, scope; save and send test files.
• Prepare, install, audit, and repair splice cases/enclosures across aerial/buried installations.
• Perform dark fiber, reel, and continuity testing; complete routine repairs to restore service.
• Coordinate with construction crews to resolve outages and meet project schedules.
