Job summary

Forged Fiber is seeking a Fiber Tech II to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable across our networks. The role supports construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration with emphasis on safety and quality.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of reading prints, using splicing tools, and coordinating with crews to meet schedules. This is an on-site, full-time position with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with fusion splicer, OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifiers and inspection scope.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test and troubleshoot fiber optic cable for construction projects, including maintenance and restoration.
• Troubleshoot faults using OTDR, power meter, fiber identifiers, scope and document results.
