Forged Fiber is seeking a Fiber Tech II - Splicing Technicians to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables across our networks. The role supports construction, operations, maintenance, and emergency restoration with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• 2+ years fiber splicing/telecom experience or equivalent training.
• Proficient with fusion splicer, OTDR, optical power meter and fiber identifiers.
• Able to read construction prints, splice diagrams and maps.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test and troubleshoot fiber optic cable for construction projects and restoration.
• Troubleshoot fiber faults using OTDR, power meter and related tools; document results.
• Audit and repair splice cases/enclosures (aerial, buried, handholes, manholes).
• Perform testing and repairs to maintain route integrity and performance.
• Place and test jumpers; read and interpret drawings and permits.
• Coordinate with teams and partners to resolve outages and meet schedules.
