Job summary

Hotwire Communications is hiring an Installation Technician to perform high-quality installations of video, voice, and internet services for customers. You will assist with activation, pull low-voltage wiring, and service CAT5/6 drop wires while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

The role involves testing all services from the demarcation point to the customer location, providing training, and supporting field teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in Internet Technologies preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Fiber Optic Cabling experience required.
• Proficiency with small hand tools and larger power tools.
• Valid driver’s license in state of hire, clean record.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and activation of fiber-optic services in subscriber homes.
• Install and service video, phone, and internet services.
• Pull low-voltage wiring; work with CAT5/CAT6 drop wire and connectors.
• Troubleshoot and test video, IP, and internet from demarc to customer premises.
• Work on on-call rotation and weekends as needed.
• Maintain safety and adhere to safety policies.
