Job summary

Hotwire Communications Ltd is seeking a Construction Technician to perform quality fiber installation for video, voice, and internet services in residential and commercial sites. You will install, test, and troubleshoot cabling, RF, and related equipment, while following safety and company standards.

Responsibilities include assisting teams, installing CAT5/CAT6 drops, maintaining tools, and supporting on-call rotations. On-site work in Raleigh area with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Proven Fiber Optic Cabling experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and activation of fiber-optic services in subscriber homes.
• Install, service, and disconnect telephone and internet customers; punch down lines.
• Troubleshoot video, telephone and internet problems from demarcation to customer premises equipment.
• Ensure safety practices and proper use of safety policies and equipment.
