Job summary

Hotwire Communications is seeking a Construction Technician to perform quality installation of video, voice, and internet services in commercial and residential settings.

Responsibilities include fiber activation, CAT5/6 wiring, RF equipment use, and safe operation. A high school diploma plus 3 years of related experience is required; on-site role with varied shifts and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Proven Fiber Optic Cabling experience.
• Proficiency using small hand tools and larger power tools.
• Must have active and clean, state-issued driver’s license.
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
• Willing to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays; on-call rotation available.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and activation of fiber services in subscriber homes and common areas.
• Install and service video, telephone and internet services.
• Trouble shoot video, telephone and internet problems from demark to customer premises.
• Test and tone wires from equipment room to outlet.
• Coordinate site builds and ensure safety and compliance.
