Hotwire Communications is seeking a Service Technician to perform quality installation practices for IP and RF video, voice and internet services, including upgrades, disconnects and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include fiber optic troubleshooting, configuring routers and Wi‑Fi, and installing CAT5/CAT6 drops and connectors for residential customers in the Lake Wales, FL area. On‑call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Fiber optic cabling experience required.
• Proficiency with small hand tools and larger power tools.
• Clean, valid driver’s license in the hiring state.
• Comfort with heights and ladders.
• On-call rotation participation.
• High school diploma required; associates preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform reconnects, disconnects, and changes of service per company procedures.
• Troubleshoot and configure IP and LAN connections for subscribers.
• Install and test CAT5/CAT6 drop wires and connectors.
• Administer router, access point, bridge, and Wi-Fi processes.
• Troubleshoot fiber and IP issues from demarc to customer premises.
• Identify fiber connectors and color codes; configure customer PCs for internet access.
• Work on an on-call schedule rotation and other duties as assigned.
