Hotwire Communications in Fort Myers is seeking an Installation Technician to install and service video, voice, and internet for customers. You will assist with activation, pull low-voltage wiring, and install CAT5/CAT6 drop wires while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years in installation/testing, fiber optics experience, and availability for days, weekends, and on-call shifts. A valid driver’s license and tools proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates in Internet Technologies preferred.
• Minimum 3 years installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Fiber optic cabling experience required.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Valid state driver’s license (unrestricted).
• Comfort with ladders and working at heights.
• Cisco certifications (CCT/CCENT) and Microsoft MCSA preferred.
• Able to work days, weekends, evenings, holidays; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and activation of fiber-optic services in subscriber homes.
• Install and service video, telephone, and internet services.
• Punch down telephone lines.
• Test and tone drop wires; troubleshoot IP and services.
• Maintain safe work environment and driving safety.
• Work on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.
