Job summary
Hotwire Communications is seeking a Construction Technician to perform quality installations of video, voice and internet services for residential and commercial sites. You will support fiber activation, run CAT5/6 drops, and test systems from demarcation to customer premises.
The role requires hands-on work with cables, tools, RF systems, and on-call rotation. Candidates should have a HS diploma and 3+ years of field experience; associates in Internet Technologies preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred
- 3+ years installing, testing, troubleshooting cable, phone, and internet
- Proven Fiber Optic Cabling experience
- Proficiency with small and power tools
- Driver’s license in the hiring state and ability to work at heights
Responsibilities
- Assist installation teams with customer activation and fiber installations in homes and multi-unit buildings
- Install, service, and disconnect video, voice, and internet services
- Troubleshoot and resolve video, IP, and network issues from demarc to premise
- Maintain safety and adhere to local codes and company policies
- Perform site builds, conduit installations, and equipment testing
