Job summary

Smithfield Foods in North Carolina is seeking a Feed Mill Supervisor to oversee mixing, milling, and employees within the feed mill. You will ensure compliance with Feed Quality and Safety programs and direct operations from ingredient receiving to product dispatch.

The role requires leading training efforts, maintaining ISO22000 Food Safety standards, and coordinating with maintenance, procurement, and dispatch to optimize production, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Feed Manufacturing, Nutritional Sciences, or related field; 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience acting as a lead by providing training or coaching.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and team setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct operations in ingredient receiving, grain drying, feed batching, pelleting, grinding, sampling and testing.
• Ensure safety protocols and ISO22000 Feed Safety compliance.
• Manage shift operations and dispatch communication.
• Maintain inventories and sanitation schedules.
• Provide reports and coordinate with maintenance and procurement.
