Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Feed Mill Supervisor to oversee mixing, milling and staff at our NC facility.

The role ensures adherence to ISO22000/Feed Safety and Quality programs, with accountability for ingredient receiving, drying, batching, pelleting, grinding, testing and sanitation. You will drive safety, production efficiency and on-time feed delivery while coordinating with maintenance and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Feed Manufacturing/Nutritional Sciences or related field with 2+ years experience.
• Experience leading/training staff or managing a process.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and use email/spreadsheets.
• MainSaver program experience is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mixing, milling and mill staff.
• Ensure compliance with feed safety/QC programs.
• Oversee ingredient receiving, grain drying, batching, pelleting and grinding.
• Maintain sanitation and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with maintenance, procurement and dispatch.
• Prepare operational reports and budgets as needed.
• Promote environmental stewardship and safety culture.
