Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the front-line operations on the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts. You will supervise hourly employees, train teams, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with daily objectives and company standards.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, adherence to HACCP and USDA regulations, and cost-conscious operation within a dynamic food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication for problem-solving and coaching.
• Ability to motivate and coach employees to peak performance in a team setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and adapt to fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safety and compliance focus on daily inspections, HACCP/USDA adherence, and safety audits.
• Lead production employees to meet targets with emphasis on quality and efficiency.
• Train, coach, and motivate team; conduct monthly line meetings and daily floor walks.
• Oversee maintenance and setup of equipment to maintain peak performance.
• Identify improvements to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
