Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to tend, operate, and oversee all mill areas in order to assure quality, productivity, and safety. The role requires following SOPs, operating equipment, and maintaining production records.

The position offers the opportunity to work across different mill areas, with eligibility to obtain certifications and to contribute to continuous improvement under ISO22000 Feed Safety and Quality Program.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work ~50 hour weeks, including night, holiday and weekend when required.
• Must be supportive of producing high quality pellet feed.
• Must be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Follow standard operating instructions/procedures in all operator areas, including batching and pelleting, and maintain records.
• Operates equipment such as grinders, forklift, and other tools in all areas.
• Prepare and maintain shift activity reports, production reports, sampling reports, bag dump reports, reconciliations, etc.
• Regulate flow of materials to meet product specifications.
• Perform daily feed, bulk and micro ingredient inventory and housekeeping duties.
• Maintain safety of employees and assets and acquire/maintain required certifications.
