Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead on the plant floor, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts. You will supervise hourly staff, train teams, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining USDA standards.

Expect involvement in daily reviews, operator coaching, and collaboration with Operations Managers to meet targets and optimize equipment usage. Travel flexibility may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading/training staff or managing a process or project.
• Strong oral and written communication with problem-solving abilities.
• Motivation and coaching skills to drive peak performance in a team environment.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments, with long hours and weekends when needed.
• Travel up to 5% of the time.

Responsabilidades

• Safety and Compliance: perform daily inspections, lead safety audits, and ensure HACCP and USDA regulations.
• Product Quality and Training: enforce food safety plans, train employees on SOPs and lock-out/tag-out, ensure adherence to specs.
• Operational Efficiency: track yields, efficiencies, and variances; work with managers to improve workflows and reduce downtime.
• Team Leadership and Communication: guide hourly employees, lead monthly line meetings, walk the floor daily.
• Continuous Improvement: analyze product performance metrics and suggest changes to improve efficiency and quality.
