Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a UX Researcher to join one of our federal programs. The role involves conducting research, usability studies, and presenting insights to stakeholders to improve product experiences.

You will work with cross-functional teams across commercial and federal projects, planning and executing research activities, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights, and helping the product team create intuitive and accessible user experiences.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Anthropology, HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional UX research experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust and strong storytelling to present insights.
• Experience with diverse UX research tools, remote testing & online collaboration tools.
• Experience planning and executing qualitative and quantitative user research.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, engineering, product teams, clients, and stakeholders to define problems and drive user-centered product decisions.
• Support deep strategic thinking grounded in client and user discovery and research.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through iterative discovery, design, and delivery cycles.
• Create research artifacts like personas and journey maps to communicate user needs and guide product direction.
• Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and users to define problems.
• Apply research insights to inform product strategy and prioritize opportunities.
• Document research activities including notes, photos, audio, video, and reports.
• Contribute to best practices and templates for research deliverables.
