Job summary

YO AI Labs in the United States is seeking a Federal Reporting & Staff Writing Expert to support an AI-focused project. You will create, review, and evaluate federal and military-style reports while adhering to official documentation, reporting, and compliance standards.

This is a remote contractor role. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of federal reporting or staff writing experience, familiarity with DoD formats, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in federal reporting or staff writing, preferably within the DoD.
• Experience with military or federal reporting formats and documentation standards.
• Background with one or more branches of the US military preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of federal compliance and reporting practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and review WARs, SITREPs, after-action reports, executive summaries, and briefings.
• Develop content following federal and military reporting standards.
• Evaluate sample reports using grading criteria and quality standards.
• Develop reference responses, guidelines, and evaluation rubrics.
• Provide expert feedback on reporting structure, clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams to improve deliverables.
