Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks a Federal Reporting & Staff Writing Expert to create and review federal/military-style reports for an AI-focused project. You will ensure compliance and high-quality documentation while working remotely across the United States.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in federal reporting or staff writing, know DoD formats, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in federal reporting or staff writing, preferably within the Department of Defense.
• Experience with military or federal reporting formats and documentation standards.
• Background with one or more branches of the US military preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of federal compliance and reporting practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• US-based with experience handling confidential federal or military documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and review WARs, SITREPs, after-action reports, executive summaries, and briefings.
• Develop clear, accurate content following federal and military reporting standards.
• Evaluate sample reports using grading criteria and quality standards.
• Develop reference responses, guidelines, and evaluation rubrics.
• Provide expert feedback on reporting structure, clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams to improve deliverables.
