Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Federal Reporting & Staff Writing Experts to support an AI-focused project. You will create, review, and evaluate federal and military-style reports, such as WARs and SITREPs, while adhering to established documentation, reporting, and compliance standards.

Remote work is available to US-based professionals. A minimum of 3+ years in federal reporting or staff writing is required, with experience in DoD-related formats and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in federal reporting or staff writing, preferably within the Department of Defense.
• Experience with military or federal reporting formats and documentation standards.
• Background with one or more branches of the US military preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of federal compliance and reporting practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• US-based with experience handling confidential federal or military documentation

Responsibilities

• Create and review WARs, SITREPs, after-action reports, executive summaries, and briefings.
• Develop clear, accurate content following federal and military reporting standards.
• Evaluate sample reports using grading criteria and quality standards.
• Develop reference responses, guidelines, and evaluation rubrics.
• Provide expert feedback on reporting structure, clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams to improve deliverables.
