Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a workers' compensation specialist within the Office of Human Resources Management. You will manage cases, provide guidance to ICCs and supervisors, and ensure FECA compliance while coordinating with the DOL.

The role supports multiple locations nationwide including Jacksonville, FL. The position starts at GS-09 and offers promotion potential to GS-11 with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of specialized experience at GS-9 level or equivalent.
  • Experience applying FECA and related regulations to workers' compensation cases.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain case documentation and develop action plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned workers' compensation cases and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Monitor case status and update plans of action per FECA and DOL requirements.
  • Serve as a technical resource on workers' compensation rights and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with claim development, return-to-work considerations, and timely payment of benefits.
  • Prepare responses to DOL correspondence and other legal proceedings.
