Qualifications

  • 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, performing duties such as analyzing and managing federal workers' compensation cases.
  • Experience with FECA and related regulations and guidance for workers' compensation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned workers' compensation cases, ensuring documentation is collected, filed, and maintained in the agency system.
  • Monitor case status, create and update plans of action, and ensure compliance with FECA and DOL requirements.
  • Serve as a technical resource on workers' compensation rights and regulatory requirements for employees, supervisors, and ICCs.
  • Assist with claim development, return-to-work considerations, and timely payment of benefits; prepare responses to DOL inquiries and legal proceedings.
