Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a workers' compensation specialist to join the Workers' Compensation Branch, Office of Human Resources Management.

You will manage assigned cases, ensure FECA/DOL compliance, provide guidance to employees and supervisors, and prepare responses to inquiries. Locations include Yuma, AZ; Tucson, AZ; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; EL Centro, CA; Laredo, TX; El Paso, TX; Del Rio, TX; Houston, TX; Euless, TX; Jacksonville, FL; and more.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing and managing federal workers' compensation cases.
• Knowledge of FECA and DOL regulations.
• Ability to prepare responses to Department of Labor inquiries.
• Experience using case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned workers' compensation cases and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor case status, update plans of action, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance to employees, supervisors, and Injury Compensation Coordinators (ICCs).
• Assist with claim development and respond to Department of Labor inquiries or hearings.
