Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing and managing federal workers' compensation cases under FECA and related regulations.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to employees, supervisors, and leadership on workers' compensation requirements.
  • Experience maintaining case documentation, developing action plans, and ensuring evidence collection.
  • Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and agency policies to support timely case resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned workers' compensation cases; ensure all required documentation is collected and filed in the agency system.
  • Monitor case status, update plans of action, and ensure FECA and DOL requirements are met.
  • Serve as a technical resource on workers' compensation rights, responsibilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with claim development, return-to-work considerations, and ensure timely payment of benefits.
  • Prepare draft responses to DOL correspondence, congressional inquiries, and related proceedings.
