Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance on building systems, document work in CMMS, and participate in on-call rotations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Experience under 2 years in equipment maintenance is acceptable with proper training. The position includes on-call duties approximately every 11 weeks, rotating holidays, and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Less than 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Follows clearly defined standard operating procedures.
• Basic computer skills using CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance following codes and standards; documents using CMMS.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and repairs on basic facility systems (plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, HVAC, electrical).
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures) and coordinates repairs.
• Reads blueprints and Life Safety drawings to complete tasks.
