Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across clinical and patient care areas. You will document work in CMMS, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and support building operations.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years' equipment maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, building automation, MS Office).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance per codes; document in CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, boilers, etc.).
• Maintain patient care equipment such as beds and wheelchairs.
• Maintain mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, refrigeration, piping, medical gas systems) as directed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Respond to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages) per plans.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete tasks.
• Support grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal as needed.
