Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform facility and equipment upkeep at Milwaukee area facilities. From 2:00pm to 10:30pm, you will execute preventive maintenance, respond to outages, read blueprints, and document work in CMMS.

Weekend shifts every 7 weeks and at least one holiday per year are required. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, service patient care equipment, and support safety and compliance across building systems.

Qualifications

• Basic CMMS usage and documentation.
• Understanding of building automation concepts and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance following codes and CMMS documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, doors, HVAC, boilers, etc.).
• Maintain patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
• Maintain electrical and mechanical systems with guidance.
• Carry out routine grounds maintenance, carpentry, painting, snow removal as needed.
• Respond to emergencies (leaks, outages, fires, equipment failures).
• Communicate status of corrective actions to requesters.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Inspect fire doors, hardware and partitions.
• Read blueprints and manuals for assignments.
