Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee general operating maintenance and repair of the community buildings and grounds in compliance with applicable standards and company policies.

You will supervise maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety with local inspectors, while delivering timely and quality service to residents and preserving property value across Brookdale communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2–3 years related experience or training.
• Valid State Driver’s License required for vehicle travel.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the community maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues and firing.
• Directs workers engaged in maintenance of interior and exterior areas and inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
• Oversees scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape and kitchen equipment.
• Coordinates maintenance requests by residents for repairs in rooms, including plumbing, electrical, heating and light bulbs.
• Maintains common areas and ensures compliance with safety and local codes.
