Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of the community infrastructure, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with policies.

The role encompasses supervising HVAC, electrical, plumbing work, and coordinating with facilities staff to maintain a well-run residence for residents. A high school diploma or GED and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with 1–2 years related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license required for vehicle travel.
• Ability to supervise maintenance staff and coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervises scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator.
• Responds to maintenance requests from residents for repairs in rooms, including plumbing and electrical work.
• Supervises repairs and maintains vacated rooms, including painting and carpet cleaning.
• Maintains walls, floors, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
• Assists in training maintenance staff and coordinates with inspectors and authorities.
• Performs in-service fire safety training for employees.
• Assesses plumbing/electrical problems and determines corrective actions within codes.
• Reviews SDS and ensures safe handling of hazardous materials.
• May supervise maintenance technicians and building engineers.
