Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor to oversee the general operating maintenance and repair of community buildings and grounds in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will supervise maintenance, housekeeping, and possibly laundry staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-maintained living spaces for residents.

Responsibilities

• Manages maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff as applicable, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues and firing.
• Directs maintenance staff in interior and exterior upkeep; inspects completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
• Oversees HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler systems, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates resident repair requests, including plumbing, electrical and lighting replacements.
• Oversees repairs of vacated rooms; paints walls and cleans carpets as needed.
• Ensures common areas are properly maintained and communicates with local authorities and inspectors as required.
