Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead general operating maintenance across a community. You will oversee staff, schedule repairs, inspect work quality, and ensure safety standards are met for indoor and outdoor facilities.

The role requires coordinating with residents and management while maintaining compliance with applicable codes. The position emphasizes hands‑on maintenance, team leadership, and timely response to repairs, with the goal of a safe, well‑maintained living

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Effective communication with residents, staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of buildings and grounds to standards and policies.
• Supervise maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff; hire, train, evaluate and discipline.
• Direct interior and exterior maintenance; inspect quality and safety compliance.
• Manage scheduled HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, and generators maintenance.
• Coordinate resident maintenance requests and repair plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
• Ensure common areas are well kept and safety procedures followed.
• Communicate with local inspectors and follow codes.
• Assess hazards, prepare SDS reviews, and handle property damage claims.
• Respond to emergencies and support residents effectively.
