New York State Center for Recruitment & Public Service is seekingMaintenance Helpers to support custodial and facilities maintenance duties under supervision. The role covers carpentry, mechanical, electrical, motor equipment, and painting tasks with specific instructions and possible operation of vehicles and power tools.

Incumbents work in a physically demanding environment, report to supervisory personnel, and may be assigned to the Nonmilitary Use Program.

Qualificações

• Must be physically able to perform moderate to heavy labor.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of New York.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to read and write in English.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and inclement weather.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general grounds maintenance tasks such as clearing sites, mowing, trimming trees and shrubs, snow and ice removal, trash collection.
• Perform general facilities maintenance such as cleaning common areas, offices and restrooms, painting and moving furniture.
• Maintain automotive equipment and other machinery as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance requirements for the Nonmilitary Use Program where applicable.
• Occasional overtime and travel to other facilities for training or duties.
