Job summary

CHJC is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker in New York to maintain grounds, buildings and equipment, perform basic carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical tasks, and support project coordination. You will keep records of work, respond to maintenance requests, and ensure safety and cleanliness across campus.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 3 years of related experience preferred, and a New York driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires a General Equivalency Diploma or High School Diploma; 3 years related experience preferred.
• Must have valid New York State driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions.
• On-site role with part-time, non-traditional hours and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and buildings, including mowing, snow removal, painting, cleaning and basic repairs.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repairs as needed.
• Assist in coordinating new projects and inspections with Facilities Director.
• Keep records of maintenance and repair work and report issues promptly.
