Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Facilities Field Technician to maintain restaurants through preventative maintenance on all facility aspects, from cooking equipment to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration. You will train staff and coordinate maintenance schedules while ensuring safe, efficient operations across locations.

Travel between restaurants is required, and you will report findings to the Regional Facilities Manager, participate in field projects, and support contractor

Qualifications

• Trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment such as cooking appliances.
• Knowledge of safety regulations governing facilities requirements.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple schedules while planning work to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and training skills for facility maintenance concepts.
• Clean driving record and willingness to travel between restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects at the market level.
• Perform facility maintenance and repairs via monthly site visits and analysis.
• Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe operation of facilities.
• Carry out procedures for facilities outages or safety threats.
• Train staff on maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities.
• Ensure proper maintenance practices are followed by staff.
• Provide detailed maintenance visit recaps to leadership.
• Identify issues impacting costs and communicate to leadership.
• Guide restaurants on maintaining facility records.
• Perform equipment/building repairs during routine visits or emergencies.
• Support new store turnover and field projects with Operations Team.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs.
