Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Facilities Field Technician to maintain restaurants through preventative maintenance on all equipment and building systems.

You will supervise facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level, perform monthly site visits, and formulate preventative maintenance schedules for cooking equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and commercial cooking equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations governing facilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple schedules and plan work effectively.
• Clear, patient communication and training abilities for facility maintenance concepts.
• Clean driving record to travel between restaurants.
• Two years of related training or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise facility aspects of restaurant management at market level.
• Perform facility maintenance and repair during monthly site visits.
• Create preventative maintenance schedules for cooking equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.
• Execute procedures when facilities malfunction or pose health/safety risks.
• Train managers and staff on maintenance and repair of facilities.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance practices and procedures across teams.
• Provide maintenance visit recaps to Operations Team and Regional Facilities Manager.
• Identify cost drivers and communicate needs for reinvestment.
• Maintain and update facility records with restaurants.
• Conduct routine and emergency repairs on equipment and buildings.
• Coordinate turnover and walks with contractors for new stores.
• Act as liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors, and vendors.
