Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain restaurant equipment and building systems through scheduled maintenance and timely repairs. You will support the Facilities Manager, coordinate with restaurant teams, and ensure safety standards are met across markets.

The role requires hands-on trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC/refrigeration, plus the ability to train staff and manage multiple site visits.

Qualifications

• Have strong trade knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair and basic HVAC/refrigeration.
• Know rules and regulations governing facilities safety requirements.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple schedules and plan work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
• Performing facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants.
• Formulating preventative maintenance schedules for safe, efficient operation of restaurant facilities (cooking equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
• Carrying out procedures if facilities cease functioning or pose health risks to staff or customers.
• Training staff on maintenance concepts and assessing further training needs.
• Ensuring proper maintenance practices are followed across teams.
• Providing maintenance visit recaps to Operations Team and Regional Facilities Manager.
• Identifying issues affecting M&R costs and communicating findings to leadership.
• Maintaining and updating facility records; performing equipment/building repairs regularly.
• Conducting new store turnovers and contractor walks/punches for new openings.
• Liaising with landlords, contractors, vendors for repairs.
