Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain restaurant facilities through preventative maintenance across equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. The role includes supervising market-level facility aspects, scheduling maintenance, training staff, and liaising with landlords and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate brings trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair, plus a BA/BS or equivalent

Qualifications

• Two years of formal or informal training on how to repair and maintain facilities
• BA/BS or equivalent in education and experience required; related field preferred
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations governing facilities requirements

Responsibilities

• supervise facility aspects of restaurant management at market level
• perform facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants
• formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe operation of restaurant facilities
• carry out procedures if facilities cease functioning or pose safety threats
• train managers, crew, and staff on facility maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
• ensure adherence to facility maintenance practices and procedures
• conduct repair seminars individually or in groups
• provide comprehensive maintenance visit recaps to Operations Team and Regional Facilities Manager
• identify issues affecting costs and advise regional leadership
• maintain and update facility records
• perform equipment/building repairs during emergencies or scheduled visits
• conduct new store turnover walks with Contractor/Operations Team
• act as liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors, and vendors
• assist with elevating facilities issues to regional management
• participate in operations management meetings as facilities representative
• provide field support to Development Department for Wynkoop and regional initiatives
• communicate contractor deficiencies on reinvestment/repair projects
• follow Development Department guidelines
• perform other duties to advance projects or resolve issues
