Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer in Cleveland is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and safety systems. You will support preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs to ensure reliable operations for clients.

This role is part of Engineering and Technical Services; requires a high school level diploma and 4–5 years of related experience, with Universal CFC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local jurisdictions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and mathematical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems meet codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials handling.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
• Share knowledge and mentor teammates; uphold CBRE values.
• Collaborate across teams to achieve client objectives.
• Explain complex information clearly to stakeholders.
