Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer role focuses on monitoring, maintaining and repairing building systems across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. You will support preventive maintenance programs, follow safety standards, and collaborate with teams to optimize energy use and client satisfaction.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, with 4–5 years of relevant experience; Universal CFC certification preferred; and ability to lift heavy loads

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems to keep operations up to standard.
• Comply with codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain an energy management program; optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for hazardous materials handling and maintain a safe workplace.
• Review building system inspections to ensure operation meets design specs.
• Share in-depth knowledge and coach others within the function.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE values to reach consensus.
