Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer position involves monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling to meet safety and efficiency standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 4-5 years of related experience; Universal CFC certification is preferred. Expect on-site work with opportunities to lead maintenance initiatives and improve system performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred; certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure all systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean workplace.
