Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in the United States to monitor, maintain, and repair building system operations across plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. The role supports preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring codes, safety and efficiency across facilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or trade school plus 4–5 years of related experience; Universal CFC certification is preferred and supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficient operation.
• Assist with implementing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design and environmental compliance.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information and coach others.
