Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.

This role supports preventive maintenance programs and ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards while optimizing energy use. The successful candidate will bring 4–5 years of relevant experience, a High school diploma or trade diploma, and may possess Universal CFC certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and safety directives.
• Manage energy usage and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist preventive maintenance to meet design life; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety policies for storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building systems to ensure operation meets design and environmental requirements.
• Apply advanced knowledge to complete complex tasks and provide solutions.
• Mentor others and share expertise across related disciplines.
• Lead by example, align with CBRE RISE values and build consensus when needed.
• Impact activities across teams and operate within established guidelines.
