Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in the United States to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety. The role focuses on safe operations, preventive maintenance, and energy efficiency within a complex facility environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or trade school with 4–5 years related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses per local/state rules.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient operation.
• Assist preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for hazardous materials handling and safety.
• Review building system inspections to ensure operation within design specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and share knowledge.
• Coach others and model CBRE values to build consensus.
